Pierre has always been involved in innovation, technology and education. He holds an engineering degree from Central Paris and a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Paris Saclay University.
He is a world leader in innovation and advanced engineering consulting, which he saw and helped grow from 300 to 17000 employees. During his time at Altran (now part of Cap Gemini), he occupied positions as Director of international operations (Developing the North American operation), Scientific director (Knowledge Management and cross company projects) and Vice-president of the Altran foundation (Operational Management).
He was successively Deputy Dean of Ecole Centrale de Lyon, Dean of Toulouse Business School and Dean of ESC Pau Business School. He was involved in the creation of an innovation and creativity curriculum at Harvard and also lead the foresight platform Futuris (Evolution of the French research and innovation ecosystem), co-hosted various think tanks (Innovation – Centrale Paris, Science/Society issues – IHEST).
